About The Event

The Craig Pinn Charity Golf Day, formally known as the ‘Steve and Carol Rogers Memorial Charity Golf Day’, is now in its 20th year.

The event was first formed as an avenue to raise funds for breast cancer, in response to Carol Rogers diagnoses. Unfortunately in 2003, Steve Rogers passed away, and in turn the day was re-named the ‘Steve and Carol Rogers Memorial Golf Day’, remembering Steve as well as Carol.

The event has grown from strength to strength each year, raising upwards of $1.7 million for a variety of different charities. This is based on the continued support of a very generous group who continually each year offer their support through team sponsorship, at the auctions, and through donations. This is as well as many others who have eagerly come on board at different times with their support over the 18 years.

In November 2015, we sadly lost Craig Pinn, after his long and brave battle with Multiple Myeloma. Since then, along with Steve and Carol Rogers, we now honour Craig, in turn naming the day after him. Craig has been the heart and soul and the driving force behind this event, and it is only fitting that he be honoured in this small, but significant way.

In 2016, we raised $125,000, our highest amount to date. In 2017, we raised $111,000, even after bad weather forced us to cancel the game of golf. In 2018, we raised $90,000. In 2019, we raised $106,000.

In 2020, we will be supporting the following charities, with 50% being donated to each: Sydney Blood Cancer Research:- Craig was personally inflicted with a blood cancer so we support RPAH for re- search into blood cancers and to increase patient comfort. 4 ASD Kids:- Is a registered charity founded by Mat Rogers and Chloe Maxwell that raises money to assist families in need affected by Autism through funding therapy and therapy related resources. Please be assured 100% of the proceeds raised from the day are forwarded to the above mentioned charities.
