The Sydney Blood Cancer Research Group is a leading specialist in all areas of medical research, conducting new studies and clinical trials that bring us a better understanding of a range of blood cancers.

 

Recent Highlights

New State-of-the-Art Flow Cytometry Equipment

We have been awarded a substantial grant from The Millhouse Foundation to support the purchase of an instrument called a flow cytometer. This instrument allows us to analyse immune cells labelled with antibodies using lasers. The LSR Fortessa X20 has five lasers rather than our diagnostic laboratory instrument which has 3 and will allow a far more detailed analysis of cells from patients.
