How to leave a gift in your Will
If you are planning to remember the Sydney Blood Cancer Research Institute in your Will, we recommend that you discuss it with your solicitor who can assist with the preparation of your Will and ensure your requests are met. While there are many ways to leave a gift in your Will, the simplest and most common are:
Residuary gift
A residue is a gift amounting to whatever remains in your estate after providing for families and friends and any taxes and charges are settled. This eliminates the need to put a precise value on your gift.

A specific or pecuniary gift allows you to leave a fixed amount of money or other items such as property, art or shares from your estate to the Sydney Blood Cancer Research Institute.
Percentage gift
A percentage gift allows you to leave a nominated percentage of your estate to the Sydney Blood Cancer Research Institute.
